Heyoka’s Workbench

Tenyears

I admit I’m quite a lazy slouch when it comes to visiting local exhibitions and art events. But yesterday, there was no need to force myself: when my colleague and friend Steffi opens an exhibition, it’s not only a matter of course for me to attend, but a guarantee for an evening with a lot of fun and impressing art and without any vernissage hokum (with dreary speeches, suits, and canapés).

It’s been ten years since Steffi and the street artist Sinero teamed up for an exhibition and thus the new one has been aptly named »tenyears«.

Not only their works are worth seeing but also the location, a little shop for sprayers which – crammed to the ceiling with spray cans and other equipment as well as magazines, artwork and offbeat trinkets – is quite a sight in its own right!

Should you happen to be in or near Bochum in May, you should consider dropping by at the Sold Out Gallery! – Oh, and more on Steffis works can be found at www.stefanielevers.de.
