The Next Generation, Revisited

There are not many things more exhilarating than watching a young artist improve their skills in big and swift leaps.

Like her elder sister, my niece K has a penchant for drawing. Her works have begun to change ever more rapidly during the last couple of months: they don’t only show more finesse but also a bolder approach to the subjects and the content. – I’m excited to see where this development will lead and am confident that K and her sister L will carry on the torch of art in our family (bear with me for a little pathos here). But more than anything else I hope to see them pursue the arts with joy, ease, and pioneering spirit!
