Hiker’s High

Been on a wintry hike with my brother.

It was exhilarating to notice what the sun and being out in the open can do with us human beings. Virtually everyone we met was in high spirits. Just as if a bit tipsy (you know: the state of buoyancy before you get drunk) – or rather a bit high, made high by the light and the air and the intoxicating beauty of the scenery. And in any case: no hangover the next day, only sore muscles for some.
