Heyoka’s Workbench

Calligraphy

I envy comic artists who can do the lettering for their works by hand, or people who can write so beautiful inscriptions like this one taken from an old copy of one of Thackeray’s novels.

My own handwriting has become almost indecipherable since my schooldays. No, mostly it is indecipherable. I think I myself cannot really read many of my hurriedly scribbled notes but have acquired some skill at memorising them and recalling the text upon seeing my hieroglyphs.
