Songs in Ink (14)

차가운 어둠속에
고요하 사라지네
어두운 침묵속에
멀없이 쓰러지네
(Jambinai, “They Keep Silence”)
The Korean band Jambinai were my musical discovery of last year. I saw them live in Dresden and in Frankfurt (Main). Announcing the song “They Keep Silence”, singer Lee Il-woo explained that it is about the sinking of the ferry Sewol and dedicated to the victims. The lines quoted above mean: In cold darkness, It’s going silently, Into dark silence, It falls endlessly.

More inked songs: Songs in Ink (1) ff., Songs in Ink (7) ff. and Songs in Ink (13).
